What you can do

Give each teammate the access they need to answer customers or manage the workspace. Where to find it: Team; Enterprise → Roles for organization-level controls

Before you start

  • Workspace owner or appropriate staff-management permission.
  • The email addresses of the people you intend to invite.

Steps

1
Open Team and invite a colleague using their intended account email.
2
Choose an appropriate role and grant access to the inboxes they should handle. Review custom roles when built-in roles do not fit.
3
Have the colleague accept with the matching verified account. Check the invitation state if they cannot join.
4
Ask them to open their assigned inbox and confirm they can perform the expected task. Do not grant billing or configuration authority just to solve a missing inbox grant.
5
When someone changes duties or leaves, update or revoke membership and inbox access. Review outstanding invitations too.

Example

A contractor can answer one inbox without becoming a workspace administrator.

Things to know

  • Organization membership does not automatically grant workspace conversation access.
  • Owner, admin, agent and viewer roles have different powers; inspect the current permission catalog for exact actions.

What happens next

Colleagues can perform their jobs without receiving unnecessary access to other customers or settings.

If something goes wrong

  • Invite rejected: check email, verification, expiry and whether it was revoked or already used.
  • Cannot see messages: check both workspace membership and inbox access.

Set up brands and inboxes

Choose the name customers see and where their messages should go.

Manage organizations, sign-in and security policies

Group workspaces and coordinate staff access without exposing every workspace to every member.
