What you can do

Bring useful customer context and approved actions into conversations. Where to find it: Settings → Integrations → Catalog

Before you start

  • Permission to manage integrations.
  • An authorized account for the business tool you want to connect.

Steps

1
Choose an available app in Catalog and read the access it requests.
2
Connect the correct account using its setup form or sign-in flow. Select the intended workspace, environment and inbox scope.
3
Link the customer or external record using the app’s supported verification flow. Review the evidence before using its data.
4
Open a conversation and check the contextual app panel. Try a permitted read before enabling sensitive actions.
5
Review reconnect, disable and uninstall controls. If an action times out, inspect its receipt or provider state before repeating it.

Example

A payments integration shows a verified transaction during a billing conversation; a refund still follows its own approval flow.

Things to know

  • Merchant payment connections help staff support customers; they are separate from paying your StackShift subscription.
  • Catalog availability and permissions vary by app. Do not assume every listed app supports every action.
  • Hosting context and engineering issue links also require explicit scoped access.

What happens next

Staff can use connected customer information without switching between unrelated accounts or guessing identity matches.

If something goes wrong

  • No customer data: check verified links and the selected provider account.
  • Connection expired: reconnect through the app setup and check granted scope.
