What you can do

Maintain several languages and keep product terms consistent. Where to find it: Knowledge → Glossaries and Translations

Before you start

  • Additional languages enabled for the selected centre.
  • Articles to translate and a reviewer who understands the target language.

Steps

1
Create a glossary for names or terms that should stay consistent, and review its language entries.
2
Select articles and target languages for a translation batch. Review the source versions before starting.
3
Inspect batch progress and individual failures; correct the reported problem before retrying failed items.
4
Review each translation for meaning, links, formatting and local wording. Approve and publish according to the centre’s workflow.
5
When a source article changes, inspect stale translations and update them before relying on the older text.

Example

Keep a product name unchanged while translating the instructions around it into French.

Things to know

  • Translation output still needs editorial review.
  • A source update can make an existing translation stale; it does not mean that translated instructions are still accurate.

What happens next

Readers can choose a maintained language version, with translations reviewed against their source.

If something goes wrong

  • Target language missing: enable it on the centre first.
  • Batch failed: open the item result and check input, permissions and any AI/provider requirement.
