What you can do

Prevent engagement from interrupting customers or sending too frequently. Where to find it: Engagement → Settings

Before you start

  • Permission to publish or configure engagement.
  • A policy for when and why your business contacts customers.

Steps

1
Review whether engagement is enabled for the workspace.
2
Set quiet hours and the timezone they use. Set daily limits for external and in-product messages.
3
Choose whether campaigns need a second approval before publication.
4
Review the customer’s consent and channel eligibility when an audience preview excludes them. Do not change consent merely to force a campaign through.
5
Use the workspace kill switch when you need to stop engagement quickly, then investigate before restoring it.

Example

Limit onboarding reminders and avoid sending them during the customer communication window your team has designated as quiet hours.

Things to know

  • Delivery limits and consent checks may exclude a customer who otherwise matches a segment.
  • The kill switch affects engagement; inspect ongoing support conversations separately.

What happens next

Campaign delivery respects configured limits and eligible customer choices.

If something goes wrong

  • Campaign eligible but not delivered: read exclusion reasons for consent, quiet hours, caps and channel availability.
  • Controls unavailable: ask an administrator to review your engagement permissions.
