This guide includes features awaiting release. If an option is not available in your workspace, contact StackShift Support.

What you can do

Use an authorized StackShift Mail sender with a Support inbox. Where to find it: Settings → Channels → Stackshift Mail.

Before you start

  • A verified sending address available to the owning account in StackShift Mail.
  • Permission to connect the selected inbox and environment.

Steps

1
Check your domain and sender in StackShift Mail first. Complete any sender verification shown there.
2
Create a Stackshift Mail channel in Support and select the intended brand and inbox.
3
Enter the authorized sender address. Finish the connection checks and activate the channel.
4
Confirm the inbound route for that address, then send a new email from another account and check the Support inbox.
5
Reply from Support and verify the From address and received email thread. Keep the address in the same intended live or test environment.

Example

Use help@your-business.example for customer enquiries after completing domain and sender setup.

Things to know

  • Verifying a sender for outgoing email is not proof that incoming email is routed. Test both directions before sharing the address.
  • An email accepted by a sending service is not necessarily delivered or read.

What happens next

Your configured support address is associated with the right inbox and passes a receive-and-reply test.

If something goes wrong

  • Sender unavailable: check domain verification, owning account and environment in Mail.
  • Replies send but inbound mail is absent: inspect the address’s inbound configuration rather than adding another Support connection.

Support channels and message recovery

Connect supported inboxes, preserve message history, and recover interrupted delivery safely.
