# Choose a plan and understand your usage

> Review prices, staff allowances, conversation usage, storage and AI credits before paying.

<Note>
  This guide includes features awaiting release. If an option is not available in your workspace, contact StackShift Support.
</Note>

## What you can do

Review prices, staff allowances, conversation usage, storage and AI credits before paying. Where to find it: Billing; AI → Usage and costs

## Before you start

* Workspace owner authority for payment and renewal changes.

## Steps

<Steps>
  <Step>
    Open Billing and review the current subscription, paid-through date and usage period.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Compare published plans by price and the allowances you need: staff seats, conversations, attachments, brands, inboxes, installations and AI credits.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Select a plan, review the currency, total and renewal choice, then continue to the offered payment provider.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    After returning, use the payment verification action if the order is still pending. Confirm the subscription and paid-through date before trying another payment.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Review cancellation or resume-renewal controls when changing future renewal. Check any scheduled plan change separately from the currently active plan.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Example

A growing team compares staff seats and conversation allowance before choosing a higher plan instead of looking only at its monthly price.

## Things to know

* The Billing catalog is the source of current prices and allowances; a screenshot or old guide may be out of date.
* Usage rows identify their environment and whether they count toward the conversation limit.
* A payment order is not proof of successful payment until verified.
* AI credit usage is separate from conversation count; using your own provider key also incurs provider charges.

## What happens next

<Check>
  You can identify the current plan, payment state, period end and the allowances your workspace is using.
</Check>

## If something goes wrong

<Warning>
  * No plans available: contact StackShift with your workspace; users should not need to configure the platform server.
  * Paid but plan unchanged: verify the existing order and share its reference with Support; do not send card details.
  * Date seems incorrect: compare payment reference, active and scheduled plans, and current period dates.
</Warning>
