# Transfers, email hosting, orders, and settings

> Use the broader domain-management surfaces for transfers, email hosting, orders, and settings from the main domains product area.

<Tip>
  **Live.** This area is documented as current, user-reliable behavior.
</Tip>

## Goal

Document the wider domains and email management surface without pretending every subflow is identical in operational depth.

## Prerequisites

* A domain in the product

## Workflow

<Steps>
  <Step>
    Use transfers from the domains area when the domain lifecycle requires it.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Use email hosting for mailbox, forwarding, credential, and plan-management workflows.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Use orders and settings as the account and registrar management surfaces for the domain product area.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Transfer-in workflow

* Transfers use auth code, registrant contact details, and transfer term.
* Checkout state is persisted so payment verification can resume after redirect.
* Recent transfers remain visible from the transfer surface after submission.

## Email hosting capabilities

* Plan selection and subscription state per registered domain
* Mailbox creation, password reset, and deletion
* Forwarding-rule management and mail client credential visibility

## Orders and settings

The domains area also includes order history, renewal and status controls, and registrar-style settings such as nameservers, lock state, auto-renew, and related domain management actions.

## Expected result

<Check>
  Users can navigate the broader domains and email management surface confidently, while still reading workflow-specific caveats where they matter.
